In my couples work we focus on repairing ruptures in the relationship by enhancing connection and improving communication. My approach is collaborative and supportive while drawing upon training from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method.

As a Registered Social Worker, I come with over a decade of experience working in community mental health providing psychotherapy and crisis intervention. My work includes helping both adults and adolescents who are experiencing anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, conflict in relationships, lack of self-esteem and emotional distress. In my career, I have worked alongside first responders and have a passion for supporting those in a helping profession to identify work-related stressors, and explore healthy ways of thinking, feeling and being.
My academic background includes a Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University, with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I received my Honors in Women’s Studies and Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Windsor. I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers.
I employ a blended approach of several therapeutic methods in my practice including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Mr. Marco Fanara RP
As a therapist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. I believe in the importance of fostering a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust and empathy. My approach is integrative, drawing on techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic frameworks, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual. I am particularly passionate about working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I am committed to helping them develop coping strategies that empower them to take control of their narratives.
My chosen path of expertise is in the field of Eating Disorders, having trained under Jennifer White from Paragon Psychological Services. Additionally, I am employed as Rehabilitation Service Specialist (RSS) with Veterans Affairs via WCG – Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services. As an RSS, I collaborate with Veterans to create a multi-faceted plan to support them to achieve a successful transition to post-service life.
My academic background includes a Masters of Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University, Master of Laws International Law and Human Rights (LLM) from the United Nations Mandated University for Peace, Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) from the University of Windsor, and lastly, Bachelor of Arts and Social Science, double major Criminology and Sociology Honours (B.A Hons) from the University of Windsor. Additional training includes: Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP), Family-Based Treatment of Anorexia Nervosa from The Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) from The Canadian Mental Health Association, and lastly, Certified in International Refugee Law from United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).

My name is Emily, and I am a practicum student at Mindsight Counselling Services Inc. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and am currently completing my Master of Social Work at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
I am passionate about supporting others, and this is reflected in my four years of experience in the service industry.
My previous practicum placements include the Intake Department at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto and the Riverdale Immigrant Women’s Centre, where I gained valuable experience in client support, assessment, and community-based services.

I am a second-year Master of Social Work student at the University of Windsor. I completed my undergraduate degree in Behaviour, Cognition, and Neuroscience at the University of Windsor, where I developed a strong understanding of human behaviour and wellbeing.
I am passionate about working with people and supporting them through meaningful change.
